My body lotion collection

Now that hopefully the cold and dry months are coming to an end, I decided to share all the products that have helped my dry body to survive. I have no idea how I accumulated this many body butters and lotions and cream, but I do like each one of them because of their different consistency. And I like to use them different times too and my body needs them.

I like to use a body butters when my skin feels really dry and I can feel it needing a lot of moisture. However I do not like the thick consistency that much I have to be honest. I usually use these on the weekend, or on days when I can stay in my pjs all day. Because trying to put on skinny jeans after putting on body butter is just the worst! I have The Body Shop Peach body butter, I do love the smell of it, it’s so good! I also have the Snowella Snow Smooth body butter, which has a lighter consistency and it makes my feel skin really smooth actually. I also have another body butter from Soap and Glory, their Daily Smooth body butter, which is not as thick as the Body Shop one, but again I really like the smell, and it sinks in a bit faster.

I much prefer lotions and creams, but my fave is probably a whipped body lotion. I enjoy using the Zoella Double Cream body lotion, mostly for the scent. Although it does a good job at moisturizing my skin. My two faves have to be the Zoella Body Pudding, which I like because it sinks in so fast, and it’s just so easy and moisturizing. The other favourite of mine is the Soap and Glory Smoothie Star body lotion. It is a not as light as the body pudding, but sinks is fairly quickly and just love love the smell of it too. Goes perfectly with my same scented shower cream.

So this is my body butter/cream/lotion collection. I hope you liked this blog post and please share your faves in the comments!

Until next time,

Agota xx

Lipstick ready for Autumn

Well as it is already October I thought it was only natural to type up a blog post about my fave lippies for Autumn. So here it is 😊.

As much as Autumn is kind of all about the berry and dark shades I actually like to wear more nude shades as well as the occasional dark shades too. So they’re are both in my faves.

PSX_20171008_145310

The first one that is I really really like for this season is the Maybelline Vivid Matte liquid lipstick in the shade Nude Flush. It gives this perfect pink nude colour to the lips and pretty much goes with every make up look. The only thing is that it doesn’t dry down completely so you feel it being tacky basically throughout the time you’re wearing it, so naturally it does rub off too and it is not long lasting. However it is a very pretty colour and just an absolute must have for every season really.

PSX_20171008_145028

To stay within the natural shades the next lipstick is my other nude fave and it is the Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipstick in the shade Pink Cocoa. This one is a darker pinky nude shade but because it is darker it goes better wih the Autumn theme of make ups. This is really the your-lip-shade-but-better colour. It has a satin finish, definitely not long lasting, not that it claims to be.

To go to a bit darker shade, and to express my love for purple toned lippies, my next fave is from the NYX lingerie lipstick line and it is the shade Embellishment. This one has a different formulation and it feels quite moussey on the lips, but also very light and you can barely feel that it is there. It dries down completely and stays put for hours. One of my fave colours to wear.

To mention some berry shades as well in my faves I have chosen another still-could-be-nude-but-it-is-darker than-that shade and it is from The Body Shop. This liquid lipstick is in the shade Nairobi Camellia. It has a slight berry tone to it, although not too much as it is still quite stuble on the lips. This one dries down matte and last longer than all the ones I mentioned before however it is still not long lasting. But smells really good.

I left the darkest shade of the bunch to last and it is I think also the darkest lippies I own. I actually bought this months ago but waited for Autumn to really use it as I think it is a typical Autumn colour. It is the Barry M Matte Me Up liquid lipstick in the shade Embellish. ( looks like a theme giving these names to the purple lipsticks haha ) It is this dark purple shade which is perfect for nights out I think. However it would be pretty in the daytime too with winged liner and some lashes. It is a lip paint so it is a very wet formula but dries down matte. It stays on for a quite a long time. I really like the shade and just can’t wait to rock it.

So here are all my fave lippies I am wearing mostly in this season. What are your fave Autumn essential lipsticks? xx

Updated general skincare routine 2017

One of my first post here was a skin care routine. But that was soo long ago and I actually have been trying out a different brand, trying to upgrade my skincare routine. I’m the kind of person that sticks with what works for them. My skincare routine usually stays the same for a really long time.

I heard so many good things about The Body Shop before, just found was a bit expensive for my budget. But then I thought skincare is important so I can spend a little bit more money on it. Therefore I ventured into it and thank God I did, because right now I’m way happier with my skincare routine than I was before. Don’t get me wrong I really liked what I was using before, just felt like it was time to change things up a bit.

Consequences to that, I absolutely fell in love with their products and like the effect they had on my face.

So this routine is a morning/evening routine as in I don’t remove my eyemake up in the morning (obvs) and I don’t put moisturizers on in the evening.

So the first thing  I do (in the evening)  is remove my eye makeup. This product has been a lifesaver for me. Just had so enough of using cotton pads to remove my make up, as they were hurting my eyes. So I started using the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter make up remover. It is unbelievable how good this product is. It actually removes all my eye makeup, doesn’t leave any trace of mascara or eyeliner on your eyelids at all. NOTHING! Definitely gonna be using this a long time.

PSX_20170808_115036-1

After I removed my eye makeup, I remove all the make up left on my face with the Garnier Micellar Water.

To actually clean my face I use the Vitamin E range cleanser. I have been using the cream one and it has a really lovely smell to it, the whole range does. This cleanser does a good job at removing all the leftover make up from my face.

One step that I just can’t miss is the toner. Even though my face is more on the normal side it does get oily sometimes in the T-zone but not oily enough to use products fully meant for oily skin. I use the Seaweed clarifying toner, which actually smells really good and mattifies my skin instantly. So this is my method of keeping my skin as oil free as I can.

PSX_20170808_115218-1

And the last thing I do of course is moisturize. I have been using the Vitamin E moisturizer and I am really happy with how it’s working on my skin. A little goes a long way and smells really good too.

I feel like this routine has refreshened my skin and overall just did a lot of good things to it. It feels more soft more hydrated and just better looked after. I absolutely recommend you try out these products or just and Body Shop products in general and you won’t be disappointed.

What do you use to for your skincare routine? Feel free to share any tips and product recommendations. xx

Easy spring/summer make up

PSX_20170512_105829

With the sun being more and more out, and the weather getting warmer it truly feels like it is finally spring and summer is not that far away. Which means you can pop a bit more colour in your make up routine and I wanted to show you a pretty easy and simple make up routine that is light and easy.

After cleaning my face, I use the Body Shop Vitamin E moisturizer, which has been a favourite of mine for the last couple of weeks. Then I apply primer first. I use Benefit Porefessionals primer, as it does a great job at hiding my giant pores on my cheeks. For foundation I have been using a more watery foundation, and that is the Maybelline fit me foundation in the shade 102. It is very easy to apply blends in very easy, and because it is more watery consistency then creamy, you can barely feel it on your face. Which is perfect for when it gets warmer outside.

PSX_20170512_110113

For under my eyes, to cover up my dark circles, I have been using the Wonder Pencil by NYX. It  does a great job at hiding those dark circle and makes me look more awake and healthy. On top of this I use everyone’s fave concealer, the Collection Lasting Perfection one, in the shade fair. To finish off the base off my face make up , I’m setting everything with the Rimmel stay matte powder.

For my brows, I use the Natural collection eye shadow in crushed walnut. To start off my eye make up, I apply primer first. I use the NYX proof it! eye shadow primer. For my eye lids I’m using the Make Up Revolution palette, and taking the light brown shade for my crease and the lightest shade to cover all my lid. Since I want to go easy on the eye I’m only putting black eye pencil on my upper waterline. To finish off the eyes I use the new L’Oreal baby roll mascara which has become my new fave mascara. Gives such curls!

PSX_20170512_110713

Now I go back to finish my base make up and for contour I use Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer, and for blush and highlight I use the Tanya Burr Cosmetics cheek palette in rosy flush.

For my lips I’m also using a new discovery, and that is the Maxfactor matte lipstick in the shade rose. Such a pretty pink shade for this time of the year.

So this is my easy spring/summer make up look. Hope you liked it and recreate it too!

February faves

Another month has gone from 2017, it is really crazy how fast time goes. But to be honest I can’t wait for spring and summer, and just generally more sunshine. In the meantime, while we’re waiting, what better to do than try out new beauty bits, and then blog about them, right? 😉 So let’s get into all the products I discovered and loved in the month of February.

The Body Shop Seaweed Oil Balancing Clay Mask

At the beginning of the month I took a trip to The Body Shop, because I wanted to try out new skincare bit and bobs. The first thing to catch my eye was the seaweed clay mask for oily and combination skin. Masks never really have been a part of my skin care routine, but always wanted to try a clay mask. So I did, and I have to say I really like it. It works like every clay mask I imagine, you put the clay onto your skin, leave it for 10 mins to dry and work its magic. My skin feels extra clean after it and really smooth. Beware though, that this mask will probably draw out your spots and zits, but that is all okay, because that’s what a mask is supposed to do. Also be careful when you’re taking it off, so wet your whole face before starting to wash it off, so that you won’t pull your face with dried clay on it (ouchhh!) .

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

I’m probably the only beauty blogger who hasn’t tried and used this sponge yet. Somehow I was always using brushes and my fingers to apply foundation and to be honest I rarely think about changing things up in my make up routine, but I thought it was time to give this sponge a chance. So compared to a brush, using a sponge to blend in your foundation is a way better choice. With dabbing the foundation onto the skin, you can work it in really well, I find it gives more coverage as I’m not pulling my foundation on my face. Overall it gives you a better and flawless finish, it’s soo easy to use and absolutely worth the money and now I couldn’t go back to using my brushes or fingers.

The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid

I am a sucker for a matte lippie. No matter how many I own already I know that I will always want more. I like wearing matte lipstick on my lips more than non matte ones. I like that they are dry and stay put all day, and because I have my teeth sticking out I don’t have to worry about lipstick getting on them all the time. So it was inevitable to try out some of the Body Shop matte lipstick as well. I got two shades Tapei Orchid which is a bright pinky shade, the perfect kind of pink I like, another one is Nairobi Camellia which is a darker pinky shade. They stay put for hours and they don’t dry my lips. Oh and they smell soo sweet and good. The formulation is thicker than the Too faced or Barry M ones, but they are very easy to apply nonetheless.

Benefit POREfessional primer

This was safe to say my best find in February. I splurged out on a Benefit Porefessional primer and it has changed so much in my make up routine. I have giant pores on my cheek near my nose, and I always hated them. I usually just used my foundation to cover them up, and make them disappear, but then I got a sample of this product last Christmas and tried it out and fell in love with it. It has a silky consistency, it is transparent and it makes your pores invisible. Win,win, win! I know it is on the pricey side, but everybody is raving about it for a reason, it is that good.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Mask

After the cold winter months, I find that using a moisturizer in the morning is not enough for my face anymore, it still feels dry like a plant that really needs watering. So I was very happy when I found this Body Shop Vitamin E sink in Mask. It feels like gelatin in a tub, and you apply it before going to bed, after you’ve done your skincare routine of course, and leave it in for overnight, wash it off the next morning. My skin feels so soft and nice after using it.  Would absolutely recommend if you have dry skin, using it twice a week will work wonders, I can promise you that.

So these were all my fave for the month of February. What were you’re fave products that you discovered?
