Smokey Autumn make up look

First of all, I only wanted to create a natural everyday easy make up look for autumn, however, as I was applying it I felt doing  something a bit more different, so I ended up with a smokey autumn look.I think it’s still perfectly wearable during the daytime too.

Tanya Burr’s Chasing The Sun collection picks

I can begin the post again by saying how excited I was to get some new Tanya Burr Cosmetics products, because it’s just true. I love the brand and all the products are so good quality and I’m always ready for more!

So let’s start with the products this collection consist of. This collection has two contour sticks, three highlighters and three lip balms. I chose one of each to get but I can already tell, I’m going to go back and order the other highlighters as well.

Peonies Please Highlighter

I absolutely love pink toned highlighters in general, so I had to pick this one! I like how pigmented the product is, gives a real base for the shimmer in it. Goes on smoothly onto the skin to give the most beautiful highlight. I’d also use it on top of the blush if you really want to go into town on a night out for example. I need to mention how much I also like the packaging which looks quite luxurious. Simply just pretty to look at. Love love love!

Contour Stick in light/medium

My go to contour powder for months has been the one from Tanya’s Beautifully Defined palette. Ever since I got at Christmas I’ve been using it non stop. So no surprise that this contour stick is definitely up there with that powder. I never really use creamy products on my face, find them to hard to work with sometimes, but not this one! It is a matte a shade, easy to blend in and the colour is perfect for fair skin. Time to switch up my powder for this one!

Strawberry Milkshake lip balm

I basically live in lip balms. If I had to to take 3 things to a deserted island lip balm would honestly be one of them. Yes. It is that important. First of all I like how creamy it is for a lip balm. The colour is not too heavy on this one which makes it perfect for wearing it really just any time. My favourite thing about it that it sits on my lips for quite a long time. I love the fact that I don’t need to reapply it every ten minutes. Smells amazing too! Who wouldn’t wanna put on some strawberry milkshake flavoured lip balm honestly?

And here is the swatch of the highlighter and the contour stick:

Tanya Burr’s Natural Ambiance collection review

I can’t even tell you how much I love Tanya Burr Cosmetics. I think she does a wonderful job with all her products, they are good quality and really affordable. So when I heard she was going to release another collection I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.

The collection consist of two eye shadow palettes and two new lipstick. Both are on the natural side regarding colors.

I’m always excited to get new eye shadow and I love me a good lippie. 🤗

The lipsticks are such gorge shades and a perfect match for the palettes. Here is the swatch for them both Bear Hug and Sunday walk. ( again I love the names of the products ).

They are creamy and have satin finishes as the other lipstick do too. They are not drying on the lips. Also unfortunately they don’t have a good staying power either as like a liquid lipstick, Personally I don’t mind reapplying it throughout the day.

Now let’s talk about the palettes. Beautiful shades. I don’t really do brave eye make up, not anymore anyway, so I always opt for natural colours. These two palettes have all the natural shades you could wish for. Matte colour and shimmery shades as well.

The first palette is filled with rose gold shades that just scream summer, and it has a matching name to it, My Paradise. The shades are pigmented, not glittery and just look gorgeous on the eyes paired with loads of mascara.

I was also excited for a bit more coloured eye shadow palette and I’ve always liked a natural green eye shadow, so happy to own this beautiful palette, My Escape. Again it is perfect for creating a natural eye look but still add a bit more colour to it.

Here are the swatches of the shades from both palette:

Quick and easy Valentine’s day make up

I knooow that Valentine’s day is either hated or loved, but you can still find yourself just wrapped around with all the cute stuff that comes out around this time of the year. Not to mention all the make up and make up looks. I don’t particularly hate or love Valentine’s day, but since I have a boyfriend , I do want to look pretty for that day. So I though I’d come up with a quick and easy look, that’s perfect for Valentine’s day, but can be worn basically whenever you want to.

In my opinion Valentine’s day just screams red lipstick. It is an essential bit of the whole make up look. And because you’re creating a bold lip, you need to keep your eyes as simple as possible. What I had in my mind, was a more classy, ’50 look, but let me walk you through exactly how to achieve this look.

First thing first is primer. You want your make up to last throughout the whole evening so primer is very important, I use the Benefit Porefessionals primer, as it is one of the best primer out there. It will give you a flawless base to put your make up on. For foundation, I use the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in the shade light porcelain ( yes I am that pale! ). To make under eyes circle disappear or for any blemishes I use everyone’s favourite concealer, the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade fair. It gives you such a nice coverage without being too thick on the skin. Then I set everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade transparent.

After this I go onto my eyes and I will finish my face later. First I’m applying NYX Proof it! eye shadow primer, and while it sets, I’ll do my brows. I get my brows tinted, but I still like to fill them in and for that I use the Natural Collection eye shadow in the shade crushed walnut. After this I just brush them into shape, and that’s my eyebrows done. If you want you can set it with a gel, mine just usually doesn’t get messy, so I don’t need it. For my eyes I’m only applying a white, barely-able-to-see eye shadow, and that is from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette in the shade white chocolate. Just to give my eyes some cleanness. After discovering tight lining I can’t do my make up without it. I take my Soap and Glory eyeliner pencil and line my upper lash line. This will give you fuller looking lashes. And finally I use my L’oreal Super Liner eyeliner to create a winged liner, and I’m not going shy with it 😉 To finish off the eye make up I use the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara.

Now it’s time to finish off my face. For contouring I use the Benefit Hoola bronzer. For blush I take the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Rosy Cheek palette and apply the shade pretty peony. This is a nice pinky shade, not too strong, and it has a golden sheen to it, which I think looks pretty with the red lip look. To finish off my face I use Benefit High Beam to get the most gorgeous highlight (ever!).

Moving on to the lip, I’ll take my Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner and line my lips. Then I apply the Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipstick in the shade Big Kiss. A perfect red to wear on Valentine’s day.

Last but not least, to set everything I’m going to use The Body Shop Vitamin E hydrating face mist. I’ve recently seen it on YouTube that this mist can also be used as a setting spray, and it really does a wonderful job with keeping everything together and on your face all day.

I hope you enjoyed reading this make up look tutorial and that you recreate it!

Have a happy Valentine’s Day!

xoxo
