My first attempt at a cut crease…

Hiii and welcome back to another blog post! This time I thought I would experiment with something I have never done before. I am usually not too adventurous when it comes to my make up, but I have always liked looks with a cut crease, however I was always too afraid to try it. So I needed to remind myself that make up washes off and it is fun to play around with. Luckily it didn’t turn out horrible so I feel like I am able to share this photos with this cut crease look. Hope you like them!

Here is the list of all the products I used (in order of applying it):

  • NYX Proof it! eye shadow primer
  • Tanya Burr Cosmetics Selfie Sculpt in medium
  • Too Faced Chocolate bar, Salted Caramel, Milk Chocolate, Semi-Sweet in the crease and Marzipan on the lid
  • MUR Define and Conceal concealer in the shade C0.5 to carve out the crease
  • Rimmel Exaggerate black eyeliner to tightline
  • Eyeko Skinny Liquid black eyeliner
  • Benefit Porefessionals Primer
  • Maybelline Superstay Foundation in True Ivory
  • Maybelline Mastercameo colour correcting pen in pink for my under eyes
  • MUR Concealer in 0.5 and C1 for undereyes
  • Rimmel Match Perfection face powder for baking under the eyes
  • Catrice Cosmetics Prime and Fine mattifying powder for my face
  • Benefit Hoola Bronzer
  • Miss Sporty Insta Glow Blusher in Shiny Coral
  • Tanya Burr Cosmetics Beautifully Defined palette for highlighter
  • Benefit Roller Last Mascara
  • Charlotte Tilbury Lip liner in Pillowtalk
  • Tanya Burr Cosmetics Birthday Cake lipstick on top

I hope you like this make up look, it is nothing complicated but I think it looks really pretty. I actually sort of regretted adding the winged liner, I think it would look pretty without it. I will definitely create more looks like this and might even try to do a halo eye one day…

Until next time,

My five top beauty products

One of my favourite blog post to read is when people write about their top fave products. When people talk about their absolute fave products I know they have been using them for a long time and they are definitely working. I find myself usually going and giving a try to those products as well, as I like trying out new stuff. So it seemed like a very good idea for my first collaboration with Amy from Everydayamyblog, to share our top five beauty products with you. Here’s the link to her top five beauty faves :

  1. Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette

I’d say if you’re only going to invest one high end eye shadow palette, go for this one. It has every shade you could possibly need from matte shades and shimmery ones. I like natural shades for my eyes most of the time, and you really can’t go wrong with the variety you have in this palette. Perfect for everyday use to a really out there make up look. Not to mention it smells like chocolate which is the biggest bonus to it. (I mean whoever came up with the idea of scented make up was a genius)

  1. Too Faced Melted Matte Liquefied Lipstick

Again, if you’re looking for a high end lippie and you’re not quite sure which one to go for first, and you happen to love matte lipstick, then this one is definitely the one to choose. I absolutely adore this melted lipstick. The formulation is so light yet the pigmentation is on point. It glides on like a lip gloss and dries downs to a matte lipstick. I don’t find it drying on my lips, and it lasts up to several hours. There are a lot of colours to choose from. I have the shade Queen B, but I really can’t wait to try out some new ones, like Cool Girl or Child star.

  1. Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

As I mentioned in one of my previous blog post, I have tried a lot of mascaras from the drugstore and it’s fair to say that this one is the best one I have ever tried. It gives volume and length, both which are very important when it comes to mascaras. It never clumps up on my lashes, and I do like to use a lot of coats, just to get the full effect ;).

  1. Benefit High Beam highlighter

The one make up product I can’t imagine not having in my collection is a good highlighter. Before I found this gem, I used to use powder highlighter, which I still do, but this product is the most beautiful highlighter I have ever seen. It is a liquid highlighter, it has a slight pink undertone, which I love and it is also cool toned, which I find suits better my pale skin. Very easy to blend, I usually use my fingers to pat it onto my cheekbones. I find it last for a really long time and gives your make up a really nice and polished finish.

  1. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed powder

My last top beauty fave is this powder. I usually don’t really venture out from base make up too much when I have found something that’s working for me so well. So I have been using this product for years basically, and it just works for me perfectly. It’s not too powdery, keeps my make up matte almost all day and doesn’t make my make up look cakey. I use the shade transparent, as I don’t want more colour just something to hold my foundation in place.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and make sure you head over to Amy’s blog to read about her beauty faves.
