My new fave blush

I have quite a fair skin, basically I am really really pale, and that sometimes causes me a bit of a trouble when applying blush. I used to not even use it just cuz I was so bad at applying it. But with the years and practise I think I got okay at it. I’m still afraid that sometimes I look like a clown but using lighter shades and a good brush made a huge difference. I started enjoying using a blush, even got a couple new shades. But I never ever dared to use a cream blush. I’ve always thought that they are so hard to blend, and it would look streaky on my face. But I received this blush in January’s Birchbox , gave it a try and now it is my go to, new fave blush.

So this blusher crayon is by a brand called Lord and Berry (never heard of them before Birchbox) in the shade in Camelia. It is really creamy, easy to blend out. I just simply do a couple of lines on my cheeks and blend is out with a brush, that works better for me than  using my fingers. It has a nice pink shade perfect for my complexion and it just blends into the skin like a dream, giving me a really natural look. I am actually impressed. I did not think I would like a crayon blush, but I have been using it almost every day since I got it.

I do use a setting spray and with that it stays on all day and I usually have my make up on my face for 12 hrs. Although it does not claim to be long lasting it is a nice benefit. If you’re looking for a cream blush (I guess this still counts as cream, just because it is in a pencil/stick from), I would highly recommend getting this one. It retails for £15 on the Birchbox website. I think it is not too expensive as it will last a long time, I have been using it for two months and only sharpened it twice.

I hope you liked this post, I really enjoy sharing great beauty finds like this! Do you prefer cream blushes or powder ones? Which one is your fave?

Until next time,

Agota xx

Easy spring/summer make up

PSX_20170512_105829

With the sun being more and more out, and the weather getting warmer it truly feels like it is finally spring and summer is not that far away. Which means you can pop a bit more colour in your make up routine and I wanted to show you a pretty easy and simple make up routine that is light and easy.

After cleaning my face, I use the Body Shop Vitamin E moisturizer, which has been a favourite of mine for the last couple of weeks. Then I apply primer first. I use Benefit Porefessionals primer, as it does a great job at hiding my giant pores on my cheeks. For foundation I have been using a more watery foundation, and that is the Maybelline fit me foundation in the shade 102. It is very easy to apply blends in very easy, and because it is more watery consistency then creamy, you can barely feel it on your face. Which is perfect for when it gets warmer outside.

For under my eyes, to cover up my dark circles, I have been using the Wonder Pencil by NYX. It  does a great job at hiding those dark circle and makes me look more awake and healthy. On top of this I use everyone’s fave concealer, the Collection Lasting Perfection one, in the shade fair. To finish off the base off my face make up , I’m setting everything with the Rimmel stay matte powder.

For my brows, I use the Natural collection eye shadow in crushed walnut. To start off my eye make up, I apply primer first. I use the NYX proof it! eye shadow primer. For my eye lids I’m using the Make Up Revolution palette, and taking the light brown shade for my crease and the lightest shade to cover all my lid. Since I want to go easy on the eye I’m only putting black eye pencil on my upper waterline. To finish off the eyes I use the new L’Oreal baby roll mascara which has become my new fave mascara. Gives such curls!

Now I go back to finish my base make up and for contour I use Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer, and for blush and highlight I use the Tanya Burr Cosmetics cheek palette in rosy flush.

For my lips I’m also using a new discovery, and that is the Maxfactor matte lipstick in the shade rose. Such a pretty pink shade for this time of the year.

So this is my easy spring/summer make up look. Hope you liked it and recreate it too!

Quick and easy Valentine’s day make up

I knooow that Valentine’s day is either hated or loved, but you can still find yourself just wrapped around with all the cute stuff that comes out around this time of the year. Not to mention all the make up and make up looks. I don’t particularly hate or love Valentine’s day, but since I have a boyfriend , I do want to look pretty for that day. So I though I’d come up with a quick and easy look, that’s perfect for Valentine’s day, but can be worn basically whenever you want to.

In my opinion Valentine’s day just screams red lipstick. It is an essential bit of the whole make up look. And because you’re creating a bold lip, you need to keep your eyes as simple as possible. What I had in my mind, was a more classy, ’50 look, but let me walk you through exactly how to achieve this look.

First thing first is primer. You want your make up to last throughout the whole evening so primer is very important, I use the Benefit Porefessionals primer, as it is one of the best primer out there. It will give you a flawless base to put your make up on. For foundation, I use the Rimmel Match Perfection foundation in the shade light porcelain ( yes I am that pale! ). To make under eyes circle disappear or for any blemishes I use everyone’s favourite concealer, the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in the shade fair. It gives you such a nice coverage without being too thick on the skin. Then I set everything with the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade transparent.

After this I go onto my eyes and I will finish my face later. First I’m applying NYX Proof it! eye shadow primer, and while it sets, I’ll do my brows. I get my brows tinted, but I still like to fill them in and for that I use the Natural Collection eye shadow in the shade crushed walnut. After this I just brush them into shape, and that’s my eyebrows done. If you want you can set it with a gel, mine just usually doesn’t get messy, so I don’t need it. For my eyes I’m only applying a white, barely-able-to-see eye shadow, and that is from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette in the shade white chocolate. Just to give my eyes some cleanness. After discovering tight lining I can’t do my make up without it. I take my Soap and Glory eyeliner pencil and line my upper lash line. This will give you fuller looking lashes. And finally I use my L’oreal Super Liner eyeliner to create a winged liner, and I’m not going shy with it 😉 To finish off the eye make up I use the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara.

Now it’s time to finish off my face. For contouring I use the Benefit Hoola bronzer. For blush I take the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Rosy Cheek palette and apply the shade pretty peony. This is a nice pinky shade, not too strong, and it has a golden sheen to it, which I think looks pretty with the red lip look. To finish off my face I use Benefit High Beam to get the most gorgeous highlight (ever!).

Moving on to the lip, I’ll take my Rimmel Exaggerate lip liner and line my lips. Then I apply the Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipstick in the shade Big Kiss. A perfect red to wear on Valentine’s day.

Last but not least, to set everything I’m going to use The Body Shop Vitamin E hydrating face mist. I’ve recently seen it on YouTube that this mist can also be used as a setting spray, and it really does a wonderful job with keeping everything together and on your face all day.

I hope you enjoyed reading this make up look tutorial and that you recreate it!

Have a happy Valentine’s Day!

January Favourites

January always feels like the longest month of the year. Buuut if is sooo god for trying out new bits and pieces, especially if you got yourself a handful of goodies in the January sales 😉 Not to mention all the Christmas presents that that I had a lot of time trying out and using in the month of January. SO here are ALL the products I loved in these long five weeks of January.

wp-1486461738252.jpg

My first favorite of the month is the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Beautifully Defined palette (which I believe you can still get from the Feelunique website). I generally loved Tanya’s Christmas collection, and was very excited about the palettes especially. This one has gorgeous eye shadows in it, a highlighter, a liquid highlighter and a bronzer. I wanted to have this palette to be honest because of the liquid highlighter but actually ended up liking the bronzer a lot more. It is a nice caramel shade, I find it goes very well with my pale skin. Easy to blend, and looks very natural on the face. Also in love with the eye shadows, the pigmentation is on point as always. They’re just pretty every day colours.

My second favourite is another palette of Tanya’s. It was the first one I had my eye on, when she released the collection. It is the Pretty Unstoppable palette. It has four eye shadows, a highlighter, a blusher, and a matte mini lipstick. I think this is the palette that had the most to offer in term of quantity of products and price. Really like the eye shadows, easy to create an everyday look with them. But with the darker shades it is easy to do a more of a night out look as well. Reminds me of Tanya’s other eye shadow palettes.

For Christmas I got the long-wanted Too Faced Melted Matte Liquid Lipstick in the shade Queen B. I really, really, really like the formula and the shade of this lipstick. This is the only Too Faced Melted lipstick I own, but after using this I definitely want to try more. It glides on so easily on the lips, the pigmentation is just beautiful, literally one swipe is enough to get the full effect. It is not too drying on the lips, more like you can’t even feel like you’re wearing anything on your lips. Win, win!

A new discovery this month is the Maybelline the Falshies Push Up mascara. I did another blog post on my fave mascaras where I talk about the reasons why I like this one, so I’ll leave you a link for it, if you would like to read it.

This is not a product I purchased in January to tell you the truth, but I definitely rediscovered it in my collection, and found myself reaching for it every day. I like pink shade blushes the most. I just think they suit my pale complexion nicely. This blush is very pigmented, so little bit goes a long way. It also has a tiny bit of glitter in it, so if you don’t like that avoid this product, but when applied to the face it is not glittery at all, just gives you a nice sheen, which is always nice with blushes.

What have been your faves in January?
