A few of my favourite things (autumn edition)

I actually have never been a fan of this season until I moved to the UK and here most people really like Autumn, so much that is actually rubbed of on me too and I catch myself enjoying this time of the year very much. So I wanted to share with you all the random things I enjoy the most, which are probably very cliche ones, but oh well… at least it’s #relatable.

1. Knitwear and hats

Let’s start with the first cliche thick jumpers and hats. They keep me warm (obviously), but they are also so cozy and easy to wear. I don’t usually put a lot of thoughts into my outfits so having to throw on a jumper is actually just perfect.

I was the kind of kid who never wanted to wear hats, but growing up and now being 26, I love wearing them. Granted they look a lot better now than they did back then! Also like the fact that you can hide your unwashed hair from the public for a day more, by wearing them. Win win!

2. Hot chocolate

Onto the second cliche one, but I was never one avid hot chocolate drinker in this season, but this year, I’ve already had more than possibly previous years combined. My fave one ver is Costa’s Black Forest Hot Chocolate and I can’t wait to get more and more of it, but I like a homemade chocolate just as much. Fave is at the moment my salted caramel one, with whipped cream and all the marshmallows.

3. TV shows

Autumn and generally winter nights in are perfect to curl up on my bed and watch TV shows and of course eat some food and snacks as well (or better drink a hot chocolate). Some of the TV shows I love at the moment are Riverdale ( of course! ), Supergirl, Dynasty and The Flash. But if I want something absolutely comfortable and cosy to watch Gilmore Girls is the way to go.

4. My bed

Probably the randomest of them all. It is not my dream bed, it’s just a bed that came with the rented house we live in, but I feel like with enough pillows, I managed to make it my fave space in the house. (especially this time of year!)

5. Candles aaaand fairy lights

I always have fairy light on when I sleep anyway, but this season I like to have more of them on and just making the room really cosy and warm, especially when it’s cold and rainy outside.

What can I say candles are really essentials this season, or rather how can you exist without candles lit in your house in this season?? I like vanilla scents a lot and my fave is from Yankeee candles, and it’s their vanilla cupcake one. And I can’ wait to get more festive scented candles burning in December. Also really like candles from Primark their cheap and still smell amazing!

I hope you liked this blog post! What are your fave things that are really autumnal?

Until next time,

Agota xx

Getting ready for Autumn… my jacket/coat collection

Okay so I actually don’t have a lot of winter coats, but coats for autumn and spring I have a lot of. They are mostly hands down from my sister and my friends and the good old charity shops, but I still like them nonetheless, and this is supposed to be more of an inspirational fashion blog post, rather than coats you can actually buy in the shops, so sorry about that. Still, I wanted to snap a few pics and share them with you. I know I like looking at outfits, that are just simple everyday ones, and not necessarily have to spend money on them, but I might find them in my own wardrobe too. So hope you like this post!

Until next time,

Agota xx

Fave jumpers + outfit ideas

First of all I am not really a fashion driven kind of gal. Never really had any designer clothes or bags or shoes. I usually like to wear casual but pretty clothes that don’t cost that much.

I also like to shop in charity shops. I like that I can find different pieces in there and I won’t be wearing the same jumper as all the other girls are wearing. Plus you can always find such good quality clothes, some even have the original tag on them.

So recently I wandered into my local charity shop to pick up a few more jumpers to my already full wardrobe. And when I was there I figured I could write a blog post about it, but not your average haul, more like just giving ideas how to wear the the clothes you might already have in your wardrobe

Please bear in mind that these are gonna be probably very plain and easy ideas, but that’s what I like when it comes to my “fashion”. Being comfortable in what I’m wearing is probably the most important thing for me.

So here we go.

Outfit No 1.

The one thing I was kind of on the hunt for was a white jumper. Something big and cosy but still pretty as I think white is just naturally pretty. I decided to style this up with a skirt and thick tights and ankle boots. I prefer to wear my skirts in the Autumn/Winter time, just cuz I like to wear it with thick tights. You can always throw on a jacket and a hat or scarf if it gets even colder outside.

Outfit No. 2.

I like blue and I like stripes so when I found this jumper I fell in love with it immediately and just had to have it. I’d like to wear it with jeans and again with ankle boots. i think it/s very easy to throw on and it is very comfortable to wear.

Outfit No. 3.

This is not really a piece of clothing for Autumn, but I still like to wear cardigans in every season really, and I found this pretty one again, couldn’t leave it. Funnily enough, it had the original tag on it, it probably was never worn, and originally cost £26 but I got it for £6. Bargain, right? I think it is perfect for evenings out, and again I just decided to put on a slightly prettier top and jeans and ankle boots.

I also really wanted to go outside to take these pics but the weather was just terrible and this was the only time I could take the pics, so sorry for the plain and boring background. I still hope you liked this blog post and I hope you have a lovely day.

Budget friendly eyeshadow palette for Autumn

I like to apply natural eyeshadows anyway but, in the Autumn I feel like it is only right to apply natural eyeshadows. Currently I’m trying to do a beauty spend ban, which means not purchasing any new make up products, which is just hard, especially with all the Christmas ranges being out now, but nonetheless I am trying.

I did want to find a make up palette therefore that was already in my possession, because I didn’t want to send money getting a new one, and oh boy I could have..

But right now trying to make most of what I already have and after writing up the longest intro to a blog post, here is the cheapest palette I think you can find in the drugstore, that has all the shades you need for Autumn.

This palette is by Make Up Revolution, their Redemption Palette Iconic 1, and and it has 12 shades in there and all that for only £4. If you are on a budget or just simply like to get a lot for your money, as I do, then this is a very good option for you.

Despite of being ridiculously cheap, it is actually a good quality palette, where the shades are bendable. I like shimmery eyeshadows most of the time, and 10 out of the 12 is shimmery, the other two are perfect matte shades for the crease.

You can find really light everyday shades in it, as well as darker, autumny shades as well. I really like the variety you get, and all you need to do is just play round with it.

Here are all the swatches from the palette :

This has definitely been the eyeshadow palette I have been reaching for the most in the last few weeks.

What is your go to eyeshadow palette for Autumn?

I hope you liked this blog post and have a lovely day. xx

Lipstick ready for Autumn

Well as it is already October I thought it was only natural to type up a blog post about my fave lippies for Autumn. So here it is 😊.

As much as Autumn is kind of all about the berry and dark shades I actually like to wear more nude shades as well as the occasional dark shades too. So they’re are both in my faves.

The first one that is I really really like for this season is the Maybelline Vivid Matte liquid lipstick in the shade Nude Flush. It gives this perfect pink nude colour to the lips and pretty much goes with every make up look. The only thing is that it doesn’t dry down completely so you feel it being tacky basically throughout the time you’re wearing it, so naturally it does rub off too and it is not long lasting. However it is a very pretty colour and just an absolute must have for every season really.

To stay within the natural shades the next lipstick is my other nude fave and it is the Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipstick in the shade Pink Cocoa. This one is a darker pinky nude shade but because it is darker it goes better wih the Autumn theme of make ups. This is really the your-lip-shade-but-better colour. It has a satin finish, definitely not long lasting, not that it claims to be.

To go to a bit darker shade, and to express my love for purple toned lippies, my next fave is from the NYX lingerie lipstick line and it is the shade Embellishment. This one has a different formulation and it feels quite moussey on the lips, but also very light and you can barely feel that it is there. It dries down completely and stays put for hours. One of my fave colours to wear.

To mention some berry shades as well in my faves I have chosen another still-could-be-nude-but-it-is-darker than-that shade and it is from The Body Shop. This liquid lipstick is in the shade Nairobi Camellia. It has a slight berry tone to it, although not too much as it is still quite stuble on the lips. This one dries down matte and last longer than all the ones I mentioned before however it is still not long lasting. But smells really good.

I left the darkest shade of the bunch to last and it is I think also the darkest lippies I own. I actually bought this months ago but waited for Autumn to really use it as I think it is a typical Autumn colour. It is the Barry M Matte Me Up liquid lipstick in the shade Embellish. ( looks like a theme giving these names to the purple lipsticks haha ) It is this dark purple shade which is perfect for nights out I think. However it would be pretty in the daytime too with winged liner and some lashes. It is a lip paint so it is a very wet formula but dries down matte. It stays on for a quite a long time. I really like the shade and just can’t wait to rock it.

So here are all my fave lippies I am wearing mostly in this season. What are your fave Autumn essential lipsticks? xx
