Easy spring/summer make up

With the sun being more and more out, and the weather getting warmer it truly feels like it is finally spring and summer is not that far away. Which means you can pop a bit more colour in your make up routine and I wanted to show you a pretty easy and simple make up routine that is light and easy.

After cleaning my face, I use the Body Shop Vitamin E moisturizer, which has been a favourite of mine for the last couple of weeks. Then I apply primer first. I use Benefit Porefessionals primer, as it does a great job at hiding my giant pores on my cheeks. For foundation I have been using a more watery foundation, and that is the Maybelline fit me foundation in the shade 102. It is very easy to apply blends in very easy, and because it is more watery consistency then creamy, you can barely feel it on your face. Which is perfect for when it gets warmer outside.

For under my eyes, to cover up my dark circles, I have been using the Wonder Pencil by NYX. It  does a great job at hiding those dark circle and makes me look more awake and healthy. On top of this I use everyone’s fave concealer, the Collection Lasting Perfection one, in the shade fair. To finish off the base off my face make up , I’m setting everything with the Rimmel stay matte powder.

For my brows, I use the Natural collection eye shadow in crushed walnut. To start off my eye make up, I apply primer first. I use the NYX proof it! eye shadow primer. For my eye lids I’m using the Make Up Revolution palette, and taking the light brown shade for my crease and the lightest shade to cover all my lid. Since I want to go easy on the eye I’m only putting black eye pencil on my upper waterline. To finish off the eyes I use the new L’Oreal baby roll mascara which has become my new fave mascara. Gives such curls!

Now I go back to finish my base make up and for contour I use Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer, and for blush and highlight I use the Tanya Burr Cosmetics cheek palette in rosy flush.

For my lips I’m also using a new discovery, and that is the Maxfactor matte lipstick in the shade rose. Such a pretty pink shade for this time of the year.

So this is my easy spring/summer make up look. Hope you liked it and recreate it too!

3 fave mascaras

Ever since I started using make up, mascaras were my favourite things. They just make you pretty instantly, whether you’re wearing a full face make up or just simply mascaras, they are the one make up product it is hard to live without.

On my journey of discovering make up, I tried lots and lots of mascaras, always from the drugstore (although I can’t wait to splurge out on some high end mascaras, definitely want to try the Too Faced Better than sex mascara 😉 ).

My priorities when it comes to lashes are length and volume. The two things brands are sometimes find hard to offer in one product, but you can get lucky sometimes.

So here are my three faves at the moment, no order as I love them all equally. 🙂

Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara (£7.99)

I’m pretty sure everyone in the beauty community has heard of this mascara, and most of you probably  have tried it as well, so it won’t come as a suprise when I say that this is the best drugstore mascara I’ve ever tried. It lifts up my lashes, makes them super long, easy to apply, no clumps at all, just beautiful voluminous lashes that last all day. I don’t use an eye lash curler, just cuz I never felt the need for it and with this mascara I don’t think you need one as it keep your lashes up and lifted for the whole day.

Maybelline Push Up Drama mascara (£7.99)

This one is a recent find to be honest, but I fell in love with it the first time I used it. This mascara is also great, it gives you a lot of volume I find, and the little bristles on the want helps you to separate the lashes and reach even the tiny ones in the inner corner. Another reason why I love this mascara is, because I think it is perfect for the bottom lashes. I like my bottom lashes to be full to and sometimes even if I use a different mascara on the top I use this one on the bottom, just to get a little  bit more fullness.

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Reloaded mascara (£6.99)

Another well loved mascara in the beauty community. I love this mascara for every day use, when you just want to chill so no need for dramatic lashes. Easy to apply and gives you a full lashes. I love the effect it gives to my lashes. Although I do find you need a couple of layers to get the full effect, but that is only because I find my mascaras get used to the plastic wand and need time to adjust to brush wand that this wand has.

All in all these are my absolute faves at the moment, and I like mixing them up as the days come.

Hope all of you has a lovely day/evening. 🙂

Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipsticks review

First of all welcome back! I was taking a bit of a break from blogging for personal reasons but now I’m back and ready to roll again.

Second of all I have to apologize in advance for not getting all of of the the lipsticks, but I decided that I will only get the ones that I really like.

When I saw the pictures on Instagram that Tanya is going to release lipsticks I was beyond happy. I knew I could expect the best quality from her so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them as soon as I could.

So altogether I got four colours out of the six colours she released. The two shades that I didn’t get were just too corally toned for me and they just don’t suit me, so I don’t think I’ll get them, but nonetheless they are still very gorgeous shades.

First of all I’d like to talk about the formulas. I have to say that they are my favourite lipstick formulas I’ve ever tried, they glide on very easily on the lips. I have to talk about the pigmentation as well, all the colours that I own are very pigmented, literally just one swipe of lipstick can give the full effect of the lipstick, but of course you can always layer it up (but you really don’t need to). It doesn’t say on the packaging and I haven’t heard Tanya mention it either, but they’re not supposed to be long lasting, however I find that they sit nicely on the lips for several hours and even with eating the lipstick only goes from the inner part of the lip.

I like the satin finish they have too. They not super shiny just a nice subtle sheen to them. They’re not tacky in any way and I’m very happy with the fact that they are not drying on the lips either.

So the first colour I got was the brightest colour of the bunch in the shade Central Park. It is a very bright almost berry pink shade. It is very pretty with just winged eyeliner and loads of mascara.

The next one is a pretty red shade, which was perfect for Christmas time, under the name Big Kiss. I like that it is a little bit darker red with no coral undertone ( if you like more of a corally shade then I’d recommend the Wild Safari ) just a pretty red. I do wear lip liner with any red lipstick , but I tried it without and it doesn’t seem to be runny or easily smudged in any way.

The third colour that I have is the lightest shade, Birthday Cake. ( can I just mention that I love the names Tanya gives to her products ). This light pink shade is right up my street as this kind of a pink/nude shade has always been my favourite. Definitely goes perfectly with smokey eyes, or with any heavy eye makeup.

Last but not least, I think it’s safe to say that everybody’s fave shade Pink Cocoa is a favourite for a reason. The pretty dark pink nude shade is just perfect for every day wear. It is very flattering I find, and it goes with most eye make up and outfit too. I’d say if you’re on a  budget or not sure which shade to go for, try this one first. Pretty sure you’ll be satisfied 😉 .

Aaaand here are the swathces…
