If you are anything like me, you also can’t wait for spring time and to wear pink lipsticks. My fave shade to wear is pink all year around anyway and I find it suits me well so now I’d like to share a couple of my faves ones with you.
My first ever really out there pink lipstick that I have bought and I’m still in love with the colour. It is very bright pink but it is still perfect for everyday wear if you go for a simple make up look with a pop of colour. I like to pair it with smokey eye or blue smokey eye in the evenings. Also as any bright lipstick it would look good with a winged liner and some false lashes.
Tanya Burr Cosmetics lipsticks
Tanya has the two end of the spectrum in regards of pink colours with her lipsticks but nonetheless I like to wear them for spring anyway. The lighter shade is Birthday Cake which is a very light nudish pink, goes perfectly with heavy eye make up. The darker, more out there lipstick is Central Park. A very bright darker pink shade that again looks just gorge with eye liner and some extra lashes.
If it happens to be a not windy day ( which is rare in the UK let’s be honest ) I do like to go for a lip gloss as well. I do like Tanya’s lip glosses and my two faves for this time of the year have to be Picking in the Park and Afternoon tea. They are comfortable to wear, the shades are gorgeous and oh god they just smell so so lovely.
My all time fave pink lippies have to be these two. I really like these matte lip creams and they are so easy to apply because of the creamy formula and they dry to matte. Even though they are not as quickly drying as other matte lippies I own but they’re definitely worth the wait. I did a full blog post on these lip creams if you want to check that out.
I have read good and bad things about this lipstick but overall I was just excited to get it in my March Birchbox and to be able to try it out for myself. The idea behind these lipsticks are that they are lipliner and lipstick in one product. That can be very handy if you always use lipliner, it can save you some time and effort. And if you are like me, rarely use a lipliner than you can still enjoy the benefits of this product. I wouldn’t say it is the most creamy consistency, although very pigmented and rich in colour. I needed to swipes to get the full effect, but is is also a very pretty shade for spring.
What are your favourite shades to wear in the springtime?
I hope you all have a lovely day! xx
